Institute Communications has partnered with the Office of Development to create a narrative framework and communications resources in support of Transforming Tomorrow: The Campaign for Georgia Tech, a five-year, comprehensive campaign to advance the Institute and help achieve the goals articulated in the strategic plan.

While some marketing communications efforts will take place at the Institute level, we know much of this occurs within individual units to your unique audiences. Below, you will find an overview of tools/guidance as well as suggestions on how you may want to market the campaign from your unit.

Communications Resources

  • PowerPoint Template
    • Updated October 2022
  • Toolkit Download (Updated October 2023)
    • Message templates: Templated language for use by unit leaders. We will not be sending messages to college advisory boards regarding the campaign, as we feel this will be better received from unit leadership. Given this, we wanted to share some general guidance on what a message could look like.
      • Leadership longer form messaging guidance.
      • Unit short form messaging guidance.
    • Case statement insert templates for campus Development officers.
    • Campaign style guide.
    • Transforming Tomorrow logo set, including a stacked version.
    • Talking points.
  • Philanthropy boilerplate copy

Suggested Initial Tactics

Here are a few ways you can partner with your unit development officers to promote the campaign within your unit:

  • Share a message from unit leadership to internal audiences on what the campaign means to them and your unit (building off of the core themes).
  • Send a launch message to your advisory board and other key external audiences.
  • Link to the campaign microsite via your website or social media (if appropriate).

Campaign rollout events will begin in the fall, and we will be sending additional guidance, tips, and suggestions around campaign communications at the unit level later this summer.

Thank you for your partnership in this effort to tell the stories that will help make Transforming Tomorrow a success. Please contact Brett Boatright at brett.boatright@gatech.edu or 404.894.8689 if you have any questions.
